My KitchenAid mixer is one of my most favorite kitchen appliances – and by far one of the most versatile kitchen tools you can have in your arsenal. With the myriad attachments you can add to your mixer, you can create almost anything you can dream up!
Spiralizer
Spiralizing veggies is all the rage right now.
Zoodles, carrot noodles, sweet potato ribbons – you name it, you can create it with this spiralizer attachment!
This comes with 5 different blade attachments, all of which are dishwasher-safe!
3-Piece Pasta Roller and Cutter Attachment
Have you ever made your own pasta? No?
I have with these pasta rollers. They are the best Kitchenaid pasta attachment!
I’ve made lasagna noodles, made lasagna noodles and made it into ravioli’s, and a few different types of fettucini noodles.
My sister and I made a meal the first year I had these as a gift for my Grandparents. We made lasagna with homemade spinach lasagna noodles.
We gave them a coupon for Christmas for a dinner with us, then made the dinner and brought it over to eat with them. It was a meal we shared with a lot of laughs that meant not only a lot to my grandparents, but to my sister and I as well.
This sleek attachment can cut pasta into 8 different thicknesses (with specific spaghetti and fettuccine cutters).

Fruit & Vegetable Strainer with Food Grinder Attachment
Ever wanted to make your own sausage?
Grind your own steak into ground beef for chili? Then this is the attachment for you!
This is another attachment that we have and it has had a lot of use.
We’ve used the grinder for making ground beef and ground turkey.
We have found that the day after Thanksgiving turkeys tend to be super cheap. So, grinding up this turkey is a great way to save some money and fill the freezer with ground turkey.
The food grinder comes with fine, medium, and coarse grinding blades and two sausage stuffer tubes.
The fruit and vegetable strainer is what I used to make apple and pear sauce when my kids were toddlers.
I found some amazing deals on produce (pears at 20 cents per pound – already picked!) and then would make it into sauce and can it for my kids.
This fruit and vegetable strainer with meat grinder attachment has had a lot of use in my house.
Food Processor Attachment
If you’re wary of adding yet another kitchen appliance to your cabinets but want a food processor, this food processor attachment might be the perfect compromise!
It attaches to your mixer and boasts a commercial-style dicing kit.
Sifter and Scale Attachment
This is the *perfect* attachment for all the serious bakers out there!
This attachment sifts ingredients (after weighing them!) for precise and perfect baking.
It holds four cups of dry ingredients, ensuring the perfect fluffy cake!
Flex-Edge Beater
One of my main (and only) complaints about my KitchenAid mixer is having to frequently stop to scrape down the sides of the mixer when I’m baking something.
But – what if you could totally eliminate that step with a simple purchase?!
This flex-edge beater is designed to scrape the sides of the mixing bowl while it mixes. Genius!
I have one and absolutely love it!
Ice Cream Maker
KitchenAid is yet again eliminating the need for another extraneous kitchen appliance by offering an ice cream maker attachment! Hallelujah!
This attachment can make two quarts of ice cream, frozen yogurt, or sorbet in around 25 minutes.
Perfect for when you have the craving for a cold, sweet treat but don’t have anything in the house!
One Inch Ravioli Maker
Have you ever tried to make ravioli from scratch before? I have, and I have to tell you – it took *forever* and was exceedingly difficult.
This ravioli maker looks like a truly ideal attachment.
Two sheets of pasta on the sides, your filling in the top, and boom – you end up with sheets of 3 rows of large-pocket raviolis.
I absolutely adore this idea, and I think it would be really fun to have your kids help you make ravioli this way as well!
Pouring Shield
I can count on one hand the number of times I’ve poured ingredients in my mixer and *not* spilled them everywhere.
I cannot believe I haven’t discovered (and purchased) this pouring shield until now!
This keeps all of your ingredients firmly in your mixing bowl – where they should be – while allowing easy pouring without mess.
Glass Mixing Bowl
This glass mixing bowl is such a beautiful, sleek upgrade to the regular stainless steel bowl that comes with your mixer!
You can see all of your ingredients and be able to visually check to ensure that everything has been folded in properly.
As a bonus, this crystal clear bowl will look beautiful sitting on your countertop!
No matter what attachments you use, the KitchenAid mixer is a must-have in any kitchen – and an investment well worth it.
Mine has been going strong for over ten years, and I certainly expect at least another few decades out of it!
